Went to Rural KIng farm store today to pick up some bottled spring water. Checked out the ammo shelf and was surprised.Things like 45 colt ,PMC 45 acp, Rem 45 acp self defense. 380, 38SP+P , 222,223,5.6 ,30-30 and about all rifle calibers They usuall sell at full retail but today must have sales tax back day. I picked up a a box of PMC 45acp brass case 230grFMJ for $18.99 and no tax. Couple days ago WM had 45colt self defense ammo . 100 rd boxes of 9mm . and some 380. Sure wish primer prices would come down. No longer have a gun store in town so its buy where you can find it. Ever try to buy a decent pair of shoes at WM? Good luck . |

Sounds like you got yourself some pretty decent deals. Sure wish I had reload equipment. I'm still paying at least 40 cents each for my .45 ACP retail. |

reloading seems to be more of a hobbie, thats why I got into it anyhow; to really have consistant loads; and to get the right powder measure that enables you to shoot the best. Plus I shoot alot. :P

we have 3 places leftin my County to buy ammo..... the local wally-world hardware store grocery store if forced to buy off the shelf locally, i'l give the business to the hardware store as they will special order in for you.....just takes a little time. Still, this part of the world is hurting for 22-250 ammo which is very popular for deer hunting. |

22-250 for deer? nice, we got to keep it above a 25 caliber. Getting a .25-06 soon, 300 WSM is a bit to big in my opinion.

the 22-250 is a very popular deer round here..... i always thought the ammo companies made those specialized rounds for Texas... http://www.winchester.com/Products/rifl ... 22502.aspx http://www.federalpremium.com/products/ ... spx?id=202 http://www.federalpremium.com/products/ ... spx?id=864 truth is....most just buy the std 55 gr sp and go for a neck shot. We really are not deer "hunters" down here in Texas............we are instead deer "ambushers" as the majority hunt from a stand over a feeder. |
