Nato Battle Pack

I just picked up 200 rounds of 7.62x51 NATO for $125. Not bad. My local doesn't get it often enough though.

The stuff's German. Anyone ever use it?

Re: Nato Battle Pack

If we all bought all we needed a few years ago, we'd be rich. The prices are crazy anymore.

Re: Nato Battle Pack

I got the 147 grain. I was told they'd have some more NATO stuff in, in about 2 weeks. If they do I'll look into getting some more.

Re: Nato Battle Pack

223 is NATO 5.56. I don't know why they need to do things the way they do, but they do. 308 Winchester is pretty much 7.62x51mm NATO. Doesn't make a lot of sense to me.

Re: Nato Battle Pack

...correct answer but I didn't ask that question...NATO adopted the 7.62 as their caliber many moons ago...what I'm asking is have they changed the official NATO rifle caliber to 5.56 or do they still carry the 7.62...

Re: Nato Battle Pack

They carry both, and then some. I think NATO troops carry 9mm hand guns too.

Re: Nato Battle Pack

...I can't see the logic in stepping down in range and power...I can see it a little in Nam's jungles, but the M14....and you know the rest...the 5.56 just don't cut it for me...
