our 4H shooters tried them for practice.................seemed like a decent shell but not as good as a AA for reloading.

I have the set up to reload 12ga looked into what the cost of a press was to load 20 ga and changed my mind once I saw the price of a Mec 600 jr. $150.00 plus shipping I think I can buy alot of shells for that price. No more huntting than I do really I think I am set for life with the 6 box's I have. |

If you do want a 20 gauge Mec Jr, you can get one used fairly cheap on eBay. I have seen them go for as little as $50 in good shape.

I've seen a lot of Rio's on the trap and skeet range but like Deputy said they reload like crap. I picked up a few empty's but gave on on reloading them. Even the black Rems reload better.

Reloading the 20 ga from what I am seening is going to be more cost effective than it would be for 12 ga with the price of shot these days. The price of shot is still just out of this world. |
