I dealt directly with, Ron, the manager. The stuff is posted too. I seen some of the 7.62x54 posted that it was corosive, so I think I can trust them. The newer 7.62x54 was non-corrosive though. They get that whenever they can. Sells much better I think.

I always assume that any surplus ammo could be corrosive. As mentioned, that is way too nice and too expensive a gun to assume otherwise! Even if the manager believes it to be non-corrosive, he just sells the stuff, he didn't put it together. He could be honestly wrong.

...how 'bout a thread by someone who knows how to properly clean a rifle that's been fired with corrosive ammo??? I have no idea...and the good stuff may get harder to get...we might be shooting more cheap import stuff...

...lousy news, Pete, but an excellent article...I learned a lot and put it away for future referral...wonder if US military ammo is corrosive, too...might be needin' to use some of that...soon....

in WWII there was some steel cased 45 acp that was corrosive.this was made by evansville ordanance plant.
