Initially I thought they were manufacted in Russia but upon inspection saw they're actually made in Germany. And I just found the pic below a few moments ago. I'm going to try some out this weekend, I'll let you guys know how they perform when I do. |

Are they cheap? I have to know how they do. I usually stock a lot of Federal stuff.

I noticed Lapua is on the side of the box in that pic but they're out of Finland, at least that's what my boxes of Lapua 7.62x39 say. Evidently they have a hand in there somewhere. I'll give you a heads up though after I try some out. Since it's made by the Germans and/or Fins, it should be good stuff. |

Do you plan on trying it in a pump as well?

I put 500 rds of there 762.39 through my sks and it was flawless and as as accurate as all the rest.

I had some issues with the semi-auto Winchester the last time I had it out so it's put up for the time being. I looked for some of the mini slugs and buckshot Aguila shells Dave uses too but the shop didn't have any on hand. From what I hear they won't feed in the pump but I'll be happy to try them one at a time. |

Ok. I am interested in how they work in the pump anyhow. |

...I got my Aguila from www.ammunitiontogo.com prices are reasonable and service was great...they do use the factory ads about what it'll feed in, though, and they're misleading...I went round and round with them about the fact that I'd bought a 1300 just for their ammo...and it wouldn't feed...first thing they did was offer me a complete refund...more than fair...but I wouldn't give 'em up...got rid of the 1300 and sat on the ammo till I found the 1200...I've found some guys with 870 and Mossy 500 say they feed...but the carrier style is crucial with that short round...

Lapua is some of the best ammo made at any price.IMHO their brass is better than norma http://www.lapua.com/index.php?id=899 |

From the pic it looks like the slug is deeply recessed in the hull. What's with that? The Wolf 22LR target stuff is actually made by Lapua if I'm remembering correctly. And it is good stuff. |

I think I'll be picking up some more in the future to add to the inventory. |

A guy on the Taurus board said this about them: "Nice slugs, I have a Home Defense 870 with an 18 1/4" barrel, I tried 10+ different slugs and found the wolf to be the most accurate. With my Eotech mounted it will shoot 2" groups at 50yards. Hopefully they will work as good for you. Stallard" |
