Dueling pistols

I've been looking for these all most 30 yrs . These are copys of Wogdon of London dueling pistols . Secretary of the Treasury Alexander Hamilton and Vice President Aaron Burr, used them in a duel in July 11, 1804. In 1981 Uberti made them and sold the pair for $2995 . They are 54 cal , smooth bore with single set triggers and flint . They are super high end repro . The gun shop in Al said they are unfired and made in London and came from a estate sale and if that is so they would bring $30,000 I just know they are Uberti because they have ser number XXXA and XXXB real dueler are no. 1 and 2 . I should get them by next friday

The original Burr/Hamilton origin guns are in a museum and worth millions , they were shipped to Uberti and they were disassembled and copied and that is when they found out they had secret set triggers in them I guess there were cheaters in the 1800 also . Only 1200 copys of these guns were ever made and the original Wogon of London only custom made guns and these duelers were smooth bore / flint and made in 54 cal which is a super rare cal and with secret set triggers . These guns made dueling against the law and just owning a set of duelers was against the law , so most sets were split and sold . 1st gun control

I have a match pairs of Colt and 2 match sets of Ruger , but no Wogdon of London duelers

Take it from me I stole them . I question the owner and they know zero about the guns and if it wasn't a real big gun shop I would have passed on them . They said they appear to be new unfired and I paid for well used gun price .

Texas Gunner,
Can you contact me by email? I have some questions regarding your purchase of the Hamilton Burr set.

I am the Executive Director of a police and military museum in Florida.

My email is naslemm@verizon.net

Many Thanks!

Bill Douglas
