Help with pistol ID

I need help identifying a pistol for my father. He has had stored for years and can't remember any info. I am not familiar with black powder firearms. I think it is a copy of a 1851 .36 Navy but I'm not sure. Any info would help as he wants to sell most of his firearms. I've cleaned it up and it appears to be in good working condition.IMG_3030.JPG

Unless it has Uberti stamped on it , they sell for less then $100 used . It is a 1851 Colt copy .

I see an "EIG" stamping. They were an Italian company that surfaced after WW2, and they shut down about the time of the Gun Control Act of 1968. Most of their guns were little pocket autos that could no longer be imported here. I'm sorry to say, they had a reputation for low quality and do not do well on resale. It may still be an okay gun for enjoyment, though.
