This is a 45 cal made in the 60's . Scratch built ,

NO ..... Gunsmith's in the 60's made them up and sold them . I'm going to convert it to a flint gun one day .

Very nice Gun runner. My flintlock was made by a machine shop owner in Gardena, Ca in the early 70's.

I like the grip on your flinter better then mine for shooting . Is it rifled and hooked breach .

Here a pic of my shooting buddy who took the GOLD in the big state shoot in Phx Az in 2006 with a smooth bore , flint . He has won matches all over the world shooting on the USMLA team with that gun .

The barrel is rifled but I don't know what a hooked breech is.

BTW. The building behind your bud looks like the small bore range at Ben Avery. That is where I took my CCW.

Yes your right that where the match is held . Hooked breach , click paste . Yours don't appear to be a hooked breach .

Looking at the Dixie pic this could very well be a hooked breech. There is a tang strap running back from the breech and screwed to the upper portion of the grip.
