Anyone know anything about these Pietta 'Colt 1860 Army' engraved BP pistols? Neat looking guns and I have a line on one that's will cost 200 bucks. While they are are neat 200 seems a bit high. Any thoughts? |

$200 is not bad at all. Go to Midway and see what they ask for theirs, or Dixie Arms! Cabelas is about the cheapest place to buy a BP pistol, and they are all around that price or more. Now, the brass framed ones are not near as strong as the steel framed ones, and I would not buy one if I was gonna shoot it much. That one in the picture looks great!

That is a really cool looking bp pistol. My only problem is I really can't shoot them very well. That little v notch in the hammer just doesn't do it for me. They are probably every bit as intrinsicly accurate as my remington copy, but not in actual use.
