Jukar Spainish BP Pistola

One of the gun auction buys from yesterday. I've always wanted to try one of these, and they seem a lot easier to clean than a cap and ball style revolver.

It's in good shape with some pitting around the nipple as you would expect. I got this one for $35. Now I just have to find some .45 caliber round balls and I'm all set...

Anybody know a good starting load spot for FFFg?

If it was mine I'd just fill the barrel up and cram a ball on top of it.

Saturday fantasy night will have a new twist.
Try the caption finds out the cabin boy is really a girl...1.
30 g of powder will give you lots of smoke since the barrel is to short to burn it all.

You will find a magic load between 18 FFF and 25 FFF of real black powder . .440 ball with .020 patch or .445 with .015 patch . Black powder is weather sensitive , you will need to adjust the load a couple of grain + or - sometime for a different day

BH, You forgot to tell Him, to fill it slowly, (just a little at a time) & be sure to "tamp the powder down tight, several times" as He fills it !!!
