WOW .. I love unique guns . Is it a cartridge gun The mag looks like it hold round balls and not cartridges . More information PLEASE

1871/88 Dutch Beaumont Vitali ? Beaumont rifle with Italian Vitali 4 round magazine.

11x52R Dutch Beaumont cartridge. I think a 395 grain bullet.

Machinist nailed it. This specimen is all matching, produced in 1873 at the Delft Arsenal(issued in 1874), as a single shot, converted to the Vitali Box magazine system in 1880

We have 5 of those ,but no stocks.And cant find a 1. They got the tube fed idea from winchester and addad a cut away switch to change from s shot to the tube fed.

ooops yours has a box mag,not a tube....

The French, Swiss, and earliest repeating Mauser rifles did go with tube feed.
