That is incredible. I can't recall seeing any military rifle look that good. I hope it shoots as well for you as it looks.

Re: polish M44

sweet!!!!!

what are your experiences with these carbines?

generally great accuracy? good? or so-so?
I know it can get down to gun/shooter/ammo specific, just wondering about the iron sighted nagant carbines and what the general consensus is........bone stock out of the box.............

That's a good looking rifle! You're friends are way better than mine. Wanna swap?

My Romanian shoots well with surplus ammo...as good as I can with iron sites anyway. The only thing about he M44's is that they were sighted in at the armory with the bayonet out. That means if you have the bayonet folded it can change the point of impact. Not a big deal as you can usually drift the front site to compensate for this.

Re: polish M44

The carbines are getting kinda scarce around here. Still can get the rifles fairly cheap (the Russian ones). Ammo for those are cheaper than any other round. $6.98 per box of 20.

thanks guys.I will shoot mostly cast bullets in this one.the recoil is low and they do shoot good once you get a good load worked up.
