It's a Remington 700. I think the model is the ADL, but it has no markings other than Remington 700. It's used but in pretty good shape. A quick pic to satisfy rule #69. |

Good looking rifle. Don't hurt yourself with that extra long bbl. |

The 700 Remy is used by more target and silhouette shooters and win more matches that all of the other guns company combined . The main differences between ADL and BDL , The BDL and CDL has a mag release floor plate . The 1 piece scope base will help with the long action from flexing . http://www.midwayusa.com/viewProduct/?p ... ber=667079 |

remington 700's are nice....... i know how you like to "tinker"...... so i thought this wold be in order here....... http://www.snipercountry.com/Articles/R ... iggers.asp or here http://www.quarterbore.com/library/arti ... igger.html since its a used rifle, there ain't no warranty to worry about........ i would add one more safety check after adjusting......bounce the butt off the floor a cpl of times and see if she trips.............. |

Thanks, guys. I owned an older 700 ADL back in the early 90's and really liked it. I'm assuming this one is the ADL because it doesn't have the hinged floor plate. My last one was marked ADL right on it. This one isn't. Anyone have a realistic idea of how many rounds before the barrel wears? Remington claims anywhere from 2500 to 6K. Depends on the caliber I'm sure. Being that it's used I worry a little about that. I wanted to put a camo stock on it, but can only find them in Black. |

Don't worry about throat erosion. More guns are ruined from improper care than have ever been shot out. Besides you only have to worry about barrel life if you are going to use it for a bench rest gun. If you shoot it 10,000 times it will still be minute of deer at a couple hundred yards. Nice gun BTW. Do you have dies and what not for it yet? I've heard the CMP has .30-06 ball ammo back in stock too. |

I'm going to get some Lee dies this week. I also found a synthetic camo stock. |

Lefty using a righty bolt. Looks awkward. Great movie though. |

Isn't that basically the same stock you have now but in camo?

Before you do the Cabelas stock, look into Bell and Carlson. Nice rifle and I never met a Remington I couldn't make shoot. Molon Labe Kim |

Yes. The black one is scratched up and the recoil pad is beat up a little. I want the camo one on it and I'll probably paint the black one for the hell of it and I'll have a spare that looks good. | |
