Barrel Twist in My Ruger?

Does anyone know what the twist rate is in the M77 308?

I know the new ones are, and figured the old one to be too, but wasn't sure. I need to get some dies.

Call Ruger with your serial # and they will till you what you have.

Yeah I could do that I guess. They make the rifles in NH?

Everything I read says 1:10. No mention of old or new.

It looks like I'll be good up to 220 grains. I'll most likely be shooting 150's with it 90% of the time. Thanks, Deadeye.

just find the sweet spot for both the M1A and the ruger
