just some discussion here about your holster choice for concealed carry. What works for you and your chosen weapon? does not matter if you IWB, OWB, pocket carry, etc, etc. What is your holster's positive and negative points? here is mine.....it is the uncle mike's 8744-3 for autos and revolvers pocket carry... http://www.midwayusa.com/viewproduct/?p ... ber=141332 ![]() positives......on avg, costs is around $10...... it keeps the gun in an up-right postiion and the trigger covered and most importantly with the friction band around it, on weapon draw, the holster stays in the pocket. This holster will keep the revolver's front sight from wearing a hole in your pocket. It is totally ambidextrous for right or left pocket. Negatives.....i have worn 2 of them out over the years as the front revolver sight will eventually wear a hole in them. The holster material is soft/thin so if your pants are real right and your pockets are very small, the revolver may still "print" thru to a small degree. I cure that by placing an old thin cheap nylon wallet in the pocket on top of the holstered gun.........what prints then is just the square outline of the wallet. i have not tried very many of the other brands of pocket holsters as this one works......did try a ross brand stiff leather one once and found the holster was actually too big for my wranglers......might had been fine with other pants. |

That is the one I use, and I’m on number two.

ITWB I have been using the simply rugged Cuda for my autos and the Silver Dollar Pancakes for the stubby. They are very comfortable and seem to be well made.

I have a drawer full of holsters. Been using a Triple K el-cheapo belt slide leather holster for my 1911 for a couple years now. Like it as well as anything I have tried.

I started tucking the shirt into my front pocket to keep it down. Shirt has to be long enough though. | |

...on a windy day up a ladder, or when I'm on my back under a customer's sink, I tuck the tail of my tshirt under the spring clip on my IWB and it keeps the .45 covered fine...just remember to release it when you get up (off the bike)...

I hardly carry my pistol in warm weather because My gut takes all the extra slack room. |
