OOOPS !!!

I forgot and left 5 rounds of Remington 158+P LSWHP's in my jeans watch pocket (loose-my reload) heh, heh heh. My sweetie
found them for me after she washed them for me. Those babies are nice and
shiney and clean now-not a speck of lint in the big hollowpoint. Can I still
uses them for carry ammo or should I use them for target. Glad she found them before the jeans went to the dryer.

Re: OOOPS !!!

They should be fine, but I would use them for target practice only. You can never be too sure, in a bad situation.

But I bet they are the cleanest cartridges you have.

Re: OOOPS !!!

I have done the same more than once. They have always fired just fine, and no...I did not use them for carry ammo. They got shot up at the range. Just in case...you know?

Re: OOOPS !!!

yep...........been there done that.............i would regulate that ammo to practice and put in some fresh rounds for carry........matter of fact i rotate my carry ammo at least twice a year........more frequently if i see it tarnish faster due to being out in the elements. Probably not necessary, but better safe than sorry..............

Re: OOOPS !!!

yea your not alone pal the list go a long way down the road. I think everyone should change out their carry amo once a year. To its cheap insurance. Besides you don't want to have to explain about the Dowery fresh smell the slob has after you shoot the dirt bag. Of course the tome stone could read he smelt better after being shot than he did before being shot. Just a passing thought pal.

This is what Barney did to keep his shiny but the guard down at the band never saw the need.

Re: OOOPS !!!

I have done that as well. As far as ammo rotation, I rotate almost every time I go to the range. It is my habit to shoot what I carry first, reload with the speed strip I carry and shoot again. So I generally shoot those two cylinders of my carry ammo at the beginning and an least one more cylinder of my carry ammo at the end.
