Well if you break into someone's home, expect to pay for it.

My wife thinks I'm paranoid and maybe she's right. I carry from the time I get up in the morning until I go to bed at night. At night there is a handgun on the night stand beside me - usually a Ruger P345 with a light or a .45 auto 1911. Behind the bedroom door is a Browning BPS 12 gauge riot gun loaded with #4 buck. We live in the country in a large county. At night there are never more than 4 deputies to cover the entire county. One might have to drive 40 miles to respond to a call from my house. Home invasions have increased dramatically around here in the last year and several victims have been killed in the process. Am I paranoid? I don't think so - just prepared.

Whats the addage "Your not paranoid if they really are out to get you". I carry whenever I leave the house and in the house I have a couple stashed around. The problem is if someone kicks in the door and the firearm isn't on you then you could be in trouble. Your method is the best particularily if you are experiencing bold daylight home invasions. They sound like the real deal so better off being ready. Remind your wife of the Connecticut home invasion that the two perps are now on death row for but the wife and two daughters were violently raped and murdered. Being prepared is the best prevention.

It makes sense to have one on you it's just I'm usually in exercise shorts or sweats around the house which don't lend themselves to carry easily. I could leave my NAA 22 Mag in my pocket but then I'd fool myself and think I was armed.

About five years ago I was called to jury duty. I ended up on a "capital murder" case. I nice older retired guy was killed. we determined the defendant was indeed guilty. The nice old man lived in the country and the defendant was someone he had hired to work for him once in a while. the dirtbag and a buddy killed the old man just to steal whatever they could from the house.

Up until that time I carried about 80% of waking hours. It is now 99%

Probably the belly band is the best choice. Thats what I use when we walk in areas I'm not familar with. The rest of the time walking is with the NAA Mini Mag in one front pocket and pepper spray for "don't worry he won't bite" in the other.
