sometimes it seems like a never ending search. Constant temptation with new models, "improved" models, the latest and greatest vs the old stand-bys......... have you found true happiness and satisfaction with your carry weapon or are you making do until you get what you really want and have a realistic shot at obtaining? |

Kimber Tactical Pro II & Simply Rugged Cuda, love the combo! Comfortable and easy to conceal, even for an old fat guy.mProviding you keep your coat on! |

I need more range time to have enough confidence in it's reliability and my ability to hit at medium ranges (15 to 25 yards), but I find the Kahr CW40 a much better compromise of performance and concealability than I ever expected to find. It has significantly more power, penetration, and firepower than the J frame revolver while hiding as well under just a tee shirt. It is somewhat heavier than the Bodyguard and I do feel this at times but it is comfortable to carry all day in a good holster and the thin and clean grip make it hide very well. Being used to revolvers the trigger feels much more natural to me than the Glocks. With 7 in the gun and a 6 round reload I feel I am well served. In some circumstances I might carry a second reload or the LCP , giving me a gun I could hand to my wife if needed. If it continues to live up to my expectations then I will be pleased and content with it. If conditions allow a light jacket or coat then I could move up to a compact service auto like the Sig 239 in .40 or a K frame revolver and these would give me more control and better confidence at range but they are not feasible most of the time and they offer much less over the Kahr than they did over the J frame. |

Kimber Ultra Carry. Best CCW pistol I have ever had. Not changing.

I bounce between the LCP and the 1911. Depends on what I'm doing and where I'm doing it.

I carry a SP101 when I can wear anything but just a t-shirt, and an LCP when it's a "dress up" event, or in really hot weather. The weight of the SP is no problem for me, and I can shoot it well, even with full power magnum loads. The LCP I don't shoot as well, but its good for short distances (under 10 yards). |

I like my .45 autos best. I like my sp101 when I need small, but am still wearing concealing garments. I get a lot of use out of my airweight when I want a gun in my pocket. When I first started carrying, 14 years ago, I dressed around my full size autos. Now, I dress however the hell I feel like, then grab an appropriate gun for what I am wearing. At least I haven't turned into one of thos lazy gun carriers who just don't bother after the newness of their ccw permit wears off. I voted for "always looking for something better" because I have a gun sickness. If I had more money, less kids and bills, my house would look like Johnny's. |

Para LTC 1911. The more I shoot anything else, the more I like my 1911. It lies flat in an IWB holster and even under a t-shirt it's easy to conceal.

Welcome to the site! I love my full size 1911. I've never owned a Para. I just recently came close to purchasing a used one, but wasn't sure about cuatomer service. I've heard that they are hard to deal with. |

one local officer has an old para wide body that's difficult to describe.......on one had it feels too big and i can't point shoot it with a durn......on the other hand the recoil is soft due to the wide back strap and it's plenty accurate during aimed slow fire....... no one in my region stocks para and they seem special order.......still would like to learn a bit more about the line and shoot a few more models........ | |

I have the Para Warthog, and it shoots really nice....but, it's just too wide for comfortable carry...but, I do carry it....I really wish I would have gotten the Kimber.....
