got to fondle a s&w 380 today

the new smith bodyguard 380......

i was truely impressed. this thing actually looked good for its class/size. A retired border patrolman brought it to the range for our shoot today (i placed 2nd again)

anyways,he pulls out this little smith 380.......unfortunately, no ammo left by the time it got around to me. His ammos cost was around $40/hundred i think he said.....

this thing felt good in the hand, looked good, and i liked the internal laser as it could easily be activated by the trigger finger, was ambi for either hand, and also had two different settings.......one was constant and the other was pulse.

this puppy was flat and fit good......shame i did not get to shoot it. Sure looked real business-like and i liked the size/feel better than the kel-tec or the ruger lcp.

gotta try shooting it sometime.......but at the moment, if the reliability is there, this thing is gonna be a winner......think he said he bought it at Academy Sports.

I haven't seen one in person. I haven't been to the gun shop in a long while.

...I'd much rather fondle a pair of 38s...much more powerful and user-friendly....380 is marginal...

...only thing I'd consider that's smaller than a .38 J would be the new Sig 9 supercompact y'all posted...

Deputy,
Is that the new Bodyguard they featured in Rifleman Magazine? It comes with Laser grips.

Re: got to fondle a s&w 380 today

this laser is built-in and intergral part of the frame.....not the grip.........as it is only sold with the laser....

here it is... http://www.smith-wesson.com/webapp/wcs/ ... rrorView_Y

smith is starting to muddy the waters with the name game...........

the bodyguard forever was a revolver
a m&p meant a revolver

now both terms can also imply a semi-auto
