Cylinders give out first in a kaboom. Ruger's bh cylinder is not stronger than a smith's, the redhawk and super redhawk cylinders are. A load that would do that to a smith would do the same to a ruger.

i am a dyed in the wool ruger man.........but even ruger can make a boo-boo............. it is my understanding that in 2010 ruger had a recall on a serial number range of the gp100.............something about the heat treatment on the cylinders was all wrong............. comparing a ruger to a smith is like comparing an anvil to a china hutch..........but you can still blow up an anvil........ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IhQ4dE_RGnQ and it can be operator error...especailly in dealing with some rocket scientist out there........... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q9isw0fK ... re=related |
