Why my wife worries.....

when I go to town. Things like this follow me home.

It;s a 29-3

I went to the LGS with thoughts of special ordering a certain semi but this poor creature was sitting in the case waiting for someone to notice. Now I have reason to suspect she was not made during any of S&Ws "glory years", you will note the perculiar fitment of the rear sight,

This helped secure a place in my "working battery" for the princely sum of $420 OTD

I have the tools, technology and parts to correct what the manufacturer overlooked and then I will have a gun I need not feel guilty over diminishing the value of by actually using, unlike my other 29 which I worry about every minute it's in the holster (29-2 nickle) but is a bit different from the 4"629 I routinely carry.

I can't help myself, the .44 just "sings" to me

Mmmmmmm.
Not an ugly ducking by any stretch of the imagination though.
Things can't follow me home here in Oz.
There's the paperwork of course, then the waiting.....

I love the 29's ........... I can only shoot them in SA , My hands are too small for DA . The 686 fits me better , but the "J" frame the only one really that fits me . That is why 99% of my guns are SA guns , it hard to slip hammer a DA gun anyway ....... ....
