yep.....ole' Dirty Harry was on the tube tonite....... just gotta love the opening credits of that smith model 29. no heavy full-lug barrel, him cocking the piece...... of course this is also the movie where he confesses he uses 44 spl at the range. David Soul as the "bad cop"......with a 4" python non-the-less. its been a good night..... |

I saw an advertisement for it, but don't remember what channel it was going to be on. I'll have to look thru Netflix and get all the movies in order of release. |

That line about him shooting a "light special" is one of the worst lines in movie history. Anybody that would carry around that big ass M29 to shoot light specials in is an idiot. |

A 240 gr bullet traveling at about 850 fps works for me although I agree anyone carrying a big honking M29 daily in a shoulder holster (to be kind) has a thing for punishment. I got the in/out straps for the Simply Rugged holster I got for my 4" Redhawk. Thats pretty funny and the closests I come to a masochist.

Luv' Dirty Harry! Always gotta watch when one of them is on th' tube. Remember when they first came out...every young Deputy and city Policeman had to have a M29. The Smith LE rep for our area was swamped for a coupla' years...
