Red Dot scope

The Bushnell 2x i had on here would cut holes at close range but after 70 feet it got lost. So i found this BSA 42 mm one in the wery back of my parts shelf from like 10 years ago.I got it for Xmas . It still works and sited in prefect. Ill try to shoot it tomorrow after the Friday sale. We might have some new junk to fix or part out.

never messed with a BSA red dot though the price is attractive.

when i shot competitively, i used a millet red dot and a bushnell holo sight...........good stuff.

perhaps i will get back into the T/C game.........40 rds of ammo per match is do-able and a match takes half a day......but with my schedule of one weekend off in 5......i could probably make one match a year......

use to do some real good visiting at them matches.

I got this gun for pig hunting here in Tx and I have a Ruger 357 max 7 1/2 barrel for a backup sidearm . I have never fired this gun yet , but after getting a red dot I found out they the POA on most of them wander from day to day . Has anyone had a problem with them .

I have used a Millet red dot on my Charger and it is very accurate, and holds zero on the Charger, never tried it on anything bigger.

i used the millet and bushnell on .22 LR, .22 mag, 7mm TCU, and 44 mag T/C barrels with no problems.

and i moved these boys around from barrel to barrel.

given a preference.........i would go with the holo. its been awhile but i think the bushnell halo is discontinued............it was just an older commerical version of an eotech.......much cheaper and just as good.........most rumors indicate that eotech actually built the bushnell holo and let bushnell distribute it.

Too successful as it was cutting eotech;s throat on marketing the more expensive military/LE models.

I've heard they coat the barrel and it needs to be cleaned before shooting. If not cleaned it takes a few hundred rounds to make it accurate. Take it out again and make a lot of noise with it.
