GI Holster

I got this on ebay for $30 shipped. It's a repro, but it's fairly nice.

always liked the look..........and can see the advantage of keeping dirt/trash out of the gun.....

Re: GI Holster

Yep. I'll use it for when we walk the dogs down at the river. The gun is so tight in it right now, that I need a come-along to draw it!

That's another reason I went with this style, Deputy. Covers the gun better and will also keep rain off it.

Re: GI Holster

...soak the holster in warm water....thoroughly...wrap your stainless .45 in saran wrap...put it in it and let it dry...sun dry's ok...don't use a hair dryer...don't leave it on the window sill, either...too much temptation..
...it'll re-form to the gun and fit better...then you can oil it once it's bone-dry...something that won't attack your stainless...I'd use boot oil but there might be something better...

...or you can get a license to carry a come-along...

Re: GI Holster

...have had this ol' 'Nam era one for a long time....the black dont really match well with the WW2 belt and mag pouches-but then again I've never been one to dress myself in co-ordinated complimenyary colors either...aint out to make a fashion statement....all I know is that the holster works extremely well...

Re: GI Holster

It's loosening up though. I've had the GI parked in it most of the day. I really don't want to soak it. That would probably stain it up. I think it'll end up fine.
