It's a very heavy laminate stock, and a fine shooter. I have the accutrigger wound down as low as I can get it. I wish it had the target trigger...

Rifle Basix makes an excellent trigger for Savages. If you'd like a great .308 load, try Varget, Winchester brass, Federal match primers and 168grn A max's. Shoots in the 4's for five in both of my .308's

Stainless, Free floated barrel..... Pure stock factory .
I tried Varget with a 44 gr load It does well. Reloder 15 works wonders, and right behind it is IMR 4895... and the 168 A-Max can't be beat...it loves bullets in the 165- 170 grain weight. My son is going to give me some 202 gr. to try...
