Well, here is a pic of my new 10/22 now that I am done with it: ![]() Put a Tasco Pro Point red dot optic on it. Not a bad optic. It has both red and green dots. The power setting on both only go up to 5 however. I can live with that. The extended mag release I put in is much bigger than the one I have on my target 10/22. Not sure I like that. I have hit the thing while shooting several times now and dropped the dang mag out of it! I don't have that problem with my other one, which as I say, although extended, is not so long as this one. The bolt hold open is sweet. And the trigger pull is much improved. I just bought this one to play with, and it is a lot of fun. Have put 1100 rounds through it since I bought it last week! |

My 10/22 is one the only guns I've ever left alone. It's a cheap fun gun and I want it to stay cheap. |

I too love the stocks. The rest I know nothing about but if you're happy, I'm happy.

Had 1 of mine out and the scope was way off. Must have gotten bumped. I did my trigger and the stay open on the bolt, but my mag release is stock.I like the ones that goes clear under the trigger guard.I held one and it seemed nice to use.Not sure about on the sand bags ?

I want one of the internationals with the same laminated stock. I don't think I would like that extended mag release either, way too big and gets in the way. Nice 10-22. |

Thanks BH.... Ordered yesterday. Bought a new 10/22 couple of years ago and have hated the trigger. My two older ones have great triggers. Gunman... I too like the laminated stock on your rifle. Mine is black with the stainless barrel. Hope I can install the parts and gain a better shooter than the older ones. I've had it apart several times before to polish the parts. It just didn't help the trigger at all. |

New hammer and sear kit came in yesterday... It took 45 mins. to install... What an improvement! Thanks to gunman! I'm glad I read your post and asked the right question... (BH thank you too). |

It makes a world of difference, don't it? You gotta watch those 10/22s. They are quite addictive. They seem to multiply, and they are so easy and fun to work on, you end up spending more money on parts than the guns cost!

Glad it worked out for you, Pathfinder. See what reading the guns threads around here can result in? |

Gunman you are right... Now I'm found myself looking at the barrel options... I've noted the big difference in price of a new Ruger barrel (cheap) as compared to an after market 'special' barrel (more than I bought the rifle for). (And then, somewhere in my mind leads me to tube cutters and hacksaws! After seeing your stock, gunman, I've been looking at those too. I was really pleased that this kit was completely drop-in... The sear didn't need to be fitted to the safety. |
