Couple of quick pics. It has the textured grip and rail on it, so it's a newer styled one. They had some without too, but they were a bit beat up.

I do too, Sheepdog. They had an older model with most of the bluing gone, and wanted as much. This was marked $285, but a new one goes for $314, so I said, I'll go $250. They came back with $265, and I said, I'll go $250. They said, $260, and I said, I'll go $250. They said, ok, $250 it is. I was shocked when it had 3 mags with it, but happy. That's 45 rounds of 9mm ready to go. |

The P95 is the most comfortable semi auto that my hand has ever held. It fit me perfectly, the angle was just right and I loved the stippling. Good find and good haggling.

See the little hole in the grip, Sheepdog? That's the key hole for the lock.

nice................the newest version with the stipled grip and the rail......... no metal inserts on the frame rails..pure plastic.............i remember when they did a function test for some gun rag. it was something like 20,000 rounds of +p ammo,,,,,,,,,,,,,no wear to the gun or the rail.......... that educated me that plastic can hold up to the long haul especially with a critical location like the rails...........still don't like it, but am respecting it.......... |

I would not be concerned about the lock. I have never ever heard of a P95 internal lock jamming things up. When I had mine, the lock was tucked away in a dark recess of my garage, only brought out when I said good-bye to the gun after two pleasant years.

Dang. I did not know they had a lock. Don't think mine does. No keys with mine anyway. I will have to check it out.

The only lock I have seen for the P series is a big pad lock.

Yep, you guys are right. I saw something about the lock in the manual, and assumed it was an internal. I figured since the locks were in the grips on the SA's it would be on this too. I didn't bother to look for the keys in the box, because they wouldn't get used. I just checked the box and the manual and they don't have an internal lock. I don't care either way. I just don't use them. That's what I get for assuming. |

I was going to ask the same thing. I don't know how to pull these things apart like a 1911. I can strip a 1911 down 100%, but these things ain't made to be done like that. |

From the diagram in the instruction book, it looks to be a pin that holds the mainspring assembly in the gun.

Gunman are you talking about pin #VO2551 at the bottom of the grip? I’m looking at the small hole at the top and it shows nothing in the online view. Sure looks like some type of pin in my 97s. The ejector pin is in the general area on the P90. Looks like I will take down one of the 97s when I find time and take a look.
