Here it is. Is it a first or second gen? How do I tell the difference? Nobody at the local seemed to know which one it was. |

Quick visible differences- 1st gen has smooth grip, 2nd gen has textured grip w/no finger grooves, 3rd gen has textured finger grooved grip and rails. There are other diffferences not so easily discernable. Don't take this the wrong way, but that is one butt ugly gun. I want one, mine will be in 10mm and become my new backpacking gun. Not as much power as my .45colts, but enough to handle anything I come across. Plus the gun weighs half as much. It also has more ammo and can be shot faster than I could ever manage with my sa's. |

2nd gen.................. i strongly advise stay away from after-market mags......metal mags tend to do funny things to plastic mag release buttons over time........... |

Yep it's a second generation. I thought it was. The mags are 15's. I have the 2 and will probably look into a few more. I'll stick with the Glock mags. The prices aren't too bad, and they are everywhere used. Except of course when I want to buy some. I've always thought that Glocks are ugly too. But they get done what needs to be done. This one tucks away so nice too. |

I am sorry, but I do not understand the "Glocks are ugly" thing. I am a wheel gunner, and I will always prefer the looks and everything else about a good revolver, but Glocks are ground breaking pieces of beauty in my book. There are probably other bottom feeders that I would buy first, but I have such an appreciation for the the Glock and the impact they have had on our favorite hobby. I guess beauty is in the eye of the beholder. |

That was uncalled for. Cruelshoes, you'll have to fire it the next time you're out. The Alaskan too. I think you'll like that, being a wheel gun guy and all. |

Just ordered two 15 round mags from CDNN. That'll give me 4.

Nice BH. I'm using a G26 for a truck gun. Easy to grab when needed. It fits nicely in the front zipper pocket of my Blackhawk pants with no printing. Glocks are easy to care for and I have little concern about external wear due to bouncing around in the truck with no case. (Unlike the 1911's). |
