Good eye Dick I missed that . Mac like the K frame grip , maybe it is a Mac trick

..... Love your XP , I had a wood thumbhole stock on my XP and love it for hunting . Had to put fiberglass one on it to make weight for pistol silhouette .

I have one but its a 6 inch nice shooter fun to shoot as well.
