New one and one revisted

Here's my new to me Smith and Wesson model 25-5 in .45 Colt.

And my old XP100 in 7mm08. Just re did the stock and I like this version much better.

That smith is the right cal, but wrong barrel length!

That XP must kick pretty good, huh? I've never fired a 7mm-08.

Re: New one and one revisted

Relax, Dog. No one's gonna cut that barrel off as long as it lives with me. It's a target gun. As soon as this Bullseye League is over, I think it's going back to Smith to be reblued and, perhaps, some tasteful engraving.

Yeah, BH, there is no doubt in your mind when that rascal goes off. It's not too bad with 120 grn bullets, but the 162's are a bit rough.

That's what I figured. I'll keep the rifle cartridges in my rifles.

Re: New one and one revisted

Very nice Smith, and unlike beaverteeth, I do like the longer barrels.

I've shot Kim's S/W and it's a sweetheart.....as far as the "tasteful engraving", I was teasing him about possibly having "Hope and Change" engraved in gold inlay scroll on the barrel.....tastefully of course. His response was not repeatable for this forum.

I don't think so, in fact, I didn't know you could. This is my first Smith, so I'm really no expert.

Bet that Smith just drops those 45 LC's in the 10 ring all day long. Great firearm.
