I'll need time to figure out if I like it or not.

Re: Yesterdays fond.

Reminds me of an old timey western type of gun. Ignore what I say though cause there's a void in the area of my brain that holds gun knowledge. I think it looks sweet and unusual.

Re: Yesterdays find.

In target shooting situation's you shoot single shot BH , at least the older guns were like XP100 and a few others.

Re: Yesterdays find.

Those were originally known as 'Parlor Guns'. They were small caliber, very low power and could be shot into the fireplace in the parlor, hence the name. I'm sure that would really go over in my parlor.

Johnny would probably lend it to you so you could conduct the experiment. See ya on the other side.

I think after looking at the front sight on that rascal, I will pass, removal would, undoubtably, be extremely painful. I don't have a fireplace anyway.

Re: Yesterdays find.

...with CB caps, you could shoot it into a phone book...or make a plywood target...with a pad in it...they bounce back sometimes...I've fired them in the house often from a 4"...if you had a rat, mouse, snake, or vacuum cleaner salesman...that's what I'd use in the house...

Re: Yesterdays find.

I have one of those in the safe. It's nearly perfect, except for a few little dents in the grip cap, & I have no idea what caused them. It was my Grandpap's. Still have the original box & anti rust paper wrapper too !

Re: Yesterdays find.

...that's why they call 'em parlor pistols instead of yard guns...made from little 17 cal pinfires to .22LR...they actually shot them in the house for sport...kinda like I do .22 CB caps in my house...from time to time...

Actually I did fire a blank in it one time to chase a large nasty dog away from our patio screen door ! It put a neat little hole in the patio door screen from the cardboard wad !!!

It scared the dog away, but I'm no longer allowed to do that!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
