Who else loves 1911's.

I've sold my Glocks and am currently on a 1911 kick. Anyone else?

and a fun photo to celebrate the 1911's 100yr birthday in 2011:

I had the same urge for 1911 madness. It is a horrible sickness. You should keep some tupperware around just in case you need leftovers.

I love mine (Springfield Armory) especially since I put Crimson Trace grips on it.

(edited for spelling)

My only concession to a plastic gun was the LCR. I like steel, especially stainless and I may get an XD some day but other firearms always seem to materialize first like the SR1911.

Plastic is good for concealed carry. Shooting steelers are more fun.

Hey Buckeye what's the story behind that top Colt? It says US Property is it a remake or surplus. It looks stainless?? Curious minds are asking.

That second colt is unbelievable, a really pretty 1911. Doesn't look like a lot of rounds went out that snout.

It's a Colt WWI Repro, limited run of appx 4000 in a finish called Carbonia Blue. It's really a neat gun.
The 2nd is the only gun I own that I intend to keep unfired.

Nice collection BB. Your Colts are real beauties! The STI is a keeper too.
Just got my 3rd TRP for a total of 7 Springers..... I'll admit I'm not done yet.
Also admit to plastics: Unfired G19 and a 26 that I carry.

I love my 1911 Randall I carried it from 1985 to 2003 on my CCW and it shoots super good and I would never sell it . But after carrying a Glock and a Kahr I could never go back to carry a heavy gun again . This is my point of view .

I always had a soft spot for Colts of any kind. Only own 1, a Revolver but would like to own many including 1911's. In the late 90'a had a chance to get a new Det Spl from a local smith I did quite a bit of business with before lung cancer took him and didn't. It was very reasonable money and I look back on it and call myself very unflattering names.

Nothing wrong w/ plastic, I'm not a hater. Both of my carry guns are poly framed - Kahr PM9 and P380.

Nice collection. That Springfield looks like it would carry just fine.

It's one of my favorites. An officer's frame mated to a 4" barrel.
