Ruger catalogs/customer service

For those who don't know, Ruger was not going to mail out any catalogs this year.
I read on rugerforum.com a suggestion to email the CEO. So, I emailed him how disappointed I was that they where not going to mail out 2011 catalogs. Told him I collected them, and had everyone of them for the past 30 years or so. Don't know if it had anything to do with it or not, but I got my catalog in the mail today, along with the sportswear catalog.

And, on a somewhat related note, as you may remember, I have a Redhawk 4 inch .45 Colt on lay a way. This one only comes with the rubber Hogue grip. I bought a set of wood grips. In order to use the wood grips, you have to have the plastic "grip panel locater", which the 4 inch model does not come with. So, I called up Ruger to order one, fully expecting I would have to pay for it. I was pleasantly surprised when the lady on the other end told me she was shipping it no charge.

Once again, I am very happy with Ruger's customer service.

Re: Ruger catalogs/customer service

catalogs along with news print may become a thing of the past................

Everyone is cutting costs and with so many folks on the net nowadays, its just a matter of time. Most likely they can cut the costs significantly by just sending the catalogs on request instead of a blanket mailing.
