ok ruger nuts..........

its been awful busy the past cpl of days........

had to haul one back and forth from autopsy............then our favorite dangerous nut twisted off today and had to haul him to waco with another back-up officer.

the good news is we had time to stop off in gatesville for about 15 minutes on the way back............enough time to cruise snuffy's best kept secret gunshop.......

sheepdog.......they have a "like new" stainless ruger p97 dc for $339.........
they also had a 5.5" ruger redhawk.........in 41 magnum......$499.

the patrolman with me bought on the spot a new bushmaster collapasable stock AR15 A2 carbine for $650............

thank-goodness this shop is a long ways off.............i'd be in trouble all teh time........

unusual weird gun want fetish of the day......a 4" 38spl colt "positive"....looked like hammered dog droppings, down right abused and ugly..........but still slick as snot. This old one caught me off-guard......more "petite" than a model 10 smith. The joys of being broke is i don't feed my gun addiction.

Boy do I know about being broke. I'm more in debt right now than Japan is.

It's always nice looking though, ain't it?

The Redhawk in .41 Mag is a fairly rare puppy. That would be a good buy.

$499 for that .41 is a GREAT buy. If I lived in Texas, that would be on the way home with me.

Re: ok ruger nuts..........

Maybe you could scoop up that .41 Magnum to trade or resell later Deputy, sounds like a good price and they're desirable as Tim and Kim noted.

Japan is broke now too?

Re: ok ruger nuts..........

My .41 is the lower one, I gave $600 for it with 100 rounds of brass, the scope and a holster twelve or thirteen years ago. They aren't gettin' any easier to find and that's the first five inch gun I've ever seen. Be hard to let that one go.

Re: ok ruger nuts..........

Good thing I wasn't with you. I'd be in the hole 500 bucks but that Redhawk wouldn't be for sale at that shop anymore.
I lived in Waco back in the 50s, and all I remember is the black crickets invading every crack and corner. Never saw anything like it since. There were black streaks down the road from cars running over them. Got slick as snot in some placed. And the birds wouldn't even eat them. They still have the cricket problem out there?
