I just got back from shooting my .45Range Officer. If they had the 9mm for sale at that price, I might be inclined to having a matching pair.

I know you like the .45....have you shot that pistol in the 9mm?

No I haven't--two of the guys in my 22 league shoot 9mm RO's in the combat league, and with the same Fastfire red dot I use on my .45. I keep hoping I can buttonhole one of them at the range and bum a few shots, but it hasn't happened yet.

We have an RO in 9mm or, I should say, my husband does because its one of his favorites. Very nice gun and I would recommend if you're looking for a cheap to shoot 1911.

As for me, I've tried to warm up to the 9mm in the 1911 platform, but can't. Just gotta have the 45 auto in a 1911 to be happy. The RO, regardless of chambering is a great buy, though.

You guys (and ladies) are aware that Springfield Armory is launching a new line of guns called "The Saint" on November first? They are being very secretive, but what peeks they do give look like they may be polymer frame.

Whatever it is it apparently requires several months of pre-hype ads with very serious-faced fitness models. I think they've ticked some people off enough by now that they won't buy it no matter what it is. Reminds me of that huge ad campaign about how "the next big thing" is coming, and it's going to change all our lives, then it turns out to be that utterly useless Segway scooter. Let's hope Springfield has come up with something better than putting "Grip Zone" on the handle of a gun to remind you where to grab it.

Did you know that the guy who owned Segway drove one off a cliff? That didn't exactly boost sales..........

The long awaited Saint is an AR. Yippee. Essentially the same gun that's been made for over 50 years. Announced on All Saints Day--get it?
