who do you use for shipping

My son bought a $1800 ak47 on gunbroker. it is insured for the full amount. made it as far as sorting in Atlanta ga. Now it missing, anyone one want to guess the name of the shipping company? A little hint their trucks are brown. they left my wife's package by the garage door . we have a ginnie door opener, If i hadnt been away from the house we would have driven over the package it was in line with my jeeps tires .My son is an atlanta cop, said he would properly recovery it in his zone..I bet they make their own shipping labels and just put theirs over the original and let UPS do the rest.

I deal with Kentucky Gun Co. & Palmetto State Armory & they both use Fed-Ex 2-Day air on firearms.

I did not think you could ship them ground.

Isn't it GunBrokers problem, they shipped it?

I haven't bought anything on line since the 90's when I had an FFL before the Clinton purge. Used UPS then without issue. Now I just buy locally and take it home with me. That delivery system works great.

I've had three Gallery Of Guns (Davidson's) shipments to my favorite LGS. GOG uses FedEx 2nd Day.

I didn't think it was legal to ship that AR straight to a residence? Maybe i'm thinking just handguns.

Like I said, isn't that Gun Brokers problem as far as finding it?

I used to be a security guard at a UPS hub. It would be difficult for an employee to get even a small box out of the facility, or even re-route it. There would be no "origin scans" to match a switched label, which would create a "dead package" that's investigated. They are very tight, almost like airport security. It would be easier for a driver to abscond with a firearm while on route. I've read several instances of drivers being caught for that, though. One had two dozen stolen guns in his house.

I have enjoyed buying from this website. All shipments must go to my local FFL, but never had a glitch.
