Kimber revolver

One of our local shops had the Kimber compact 357 revolver on display, today. Interesting revolver, at least as far as style, but just didn't impress me with the quality of the build. Seemed a little on the light side in places. Not much of a report, to be sure, but was not tempted to try it. Will wait till I hear more from folks who have shot it.

I have not heard of anyone that shot it or owns one.

Definitely strange looking.

kimber announced this revolver back in what..........Jan of 2016?

some makers do that........like remington did with the R51.........making noise to generate interest before the gun can be put into mass production........

wonder if kimber ran into mass production woes like Remington did and problems surfaced?

I did a hands-on, no shoot review here on the sixth. First and only one I've seen. Sportsman's Warehouse had one that lasted four hours. The next one I saw, which they sold in three days. There was another Thursday which I'd guess is gone now.

I was very impressed with fit and finish, and how smoothly everything moved. I didn't like it enough to justify the cost over an LCR, though. Sportsman's tags it at $ 799, which is a hundred under MSRP. They tag the LCR 357 at $ 560, and I got mine a little under that.
