Lightbulb ...new (old) toy

....okeedokee.....a short break in the insanity....pics of my new toy-a result of my ongoing "Arms for Artwork" sideline....one of my portraits custom made for this lady....a Marlin336 30-30 RC...1950....I'm in love and would love any info/tips/etc you folks can share with me about it....I'm a newbie to levers...

Very nice. A guy here at work is selling a newer one just like it. It's in rough shape though. Yours looks like it's been well taken care of.

Very nice gun. I love lever guns, and yours is an especially good one. The only thing I don't like about Marlins is their fat forearm. (Easily fixed with a sander if it bugs you)

...funny thing...that's one of the things I LOVE about Marlins, and dislike about 94s...I love the beefy forearm...you can have all the 94s, and I'll take all the Marlins...

Can't we share? Because marlins have got alot going for them, like ease of mounting a scope. Plus, their pistol gripped stocks look nice and are very comfortable.
