Lord I think I can see a clear mile with the front sight. But ya see he is gettin on in years, and i know that someday he is gonna be taken from me. I will always remember he is the one that put the silver on my sights. He wouldn't take a dime for his handy work. I think its important to have things that your long time friends have done for you like my sights. At nite while around the camp fire or at the camp fire in the morning over hot coffee ( coffee in the morning over a camp fire always tastes much better to me. ) We talk about our shootin irons, well ya see they will live for ever in our minds as long as we talk of them or about them as to what they said or did for us they are always with us. |

Well said Snuffy. Silver is a great idea as my eyes can't hardly see to the front sight any more and the gold on the Marlins can sometimes be hard to find.

Also he doesn't make it any bigger than the orginal sight, I have see some pretty big. Bad thing there is if ya have a longer shot your most likely going to miss. |

They are made for bad eyes , if you don't believe me punch a 1/8 inch hole in black paper and tape it to your glasses and hold up your gun and look at your ft sight . For near targets super large hole and super far targets a smaller hole , 1/8 works good for both . I made this sight , but Marble and Lyman make them for under $100 . Lyman has NO windage adjustments . ![]() |

A2 sights have the same thing, and what is inside the rear sight is remarkably clear when you use the small hole vs. the battle sights. Rotating sights are fabulous.
