Lever safety on the 1876

Needing to keep a busy mind I decided to take the lever safety out of my 1886 rifle. Gettin out wasn't a problem gettin back together kept me going for a few hours but learn how to do it and I know I can do it now.
I have learned many new things to me, like sewing leather and working on my guns, learning to engage targets on the move. This has been all new to me I am really enjoying it. I am sure I will learn much more, this has been a fast year for me, and the first month is almost over now. This year could be even faster sure hope I can have the fun I have had this past year this year.

I'm sure you will. You seem to always find some fun.

I know whatcha mean partner. When I was a kid my mom always told me, "The older you get, the faster the time goes by." Man she was right. Last year flew by.
As far as the fun, Ima hopin the weather will be better so I can shoot in the February shoot in Indiana. My regular club doesn't shoot again till March.
Also I've found, the older I get, the Colder I get. Especially my fingers. Man I'd hate to live "Up Nawth" like 'some' of these kids here! LOL

yes sir, have always loved to take things apart............but getting them back together can be a problem.....

worst mistake i ever made was to take apart an old h&r shotgun.............never would had dreamed such a "simple" gun could have so much tension and crap attached to those pins..

and no, i did not get it back together by myself................
