Marlin 1894

Put some chamos on the lever today makes it easy on the knuckles when levering the rifle. I have some hot loads too hot for sass to shoot up and I have coffeee can of 44-40 that are too long to shoot in the 73. Since my truck still waits on me to get it out of the shop. I am going to the range to just shoot the day away relax and enjoy the day.

Re: Marlin 1894

Yes sir it is but its not good for cowboy shooting with the liter loads as is gives ya blow by in the eye. But I do use it shooting porker. I am planing to put a Lyman rear apater sight on it soon and a full buck horn on my 73. I was going to trade it off or sell it but its too nice of a gun to do that. And I can use it on yotes as well when they are close a 250 gr hollow point sure makes a mess of them. Not sure if it would be enough gun for hog. But I could always go hog huntting with deadeye lol.

Actually the car that I have been loaned is having transmisson problems and I wanted to check with the owner before I traveled that far. He gave his blessing so its range time for sure.

Re: Marlin 1894

I had a blast, just sat back and enjoyed the day shooting at the 207 target missed more than I hit but I had fun just the same. I shot up all the 44-40 that I couldn't use in the 73 and the 45's that were to hot for sass. Two 3 pound coffee cans I have had a blast.
