Re: Guide Gun

BH, If Ihad to give my guns away you would beone of the ones I would call. But I am not in the pickle just yet and I hope I never am.
Stormy is one of the nicest person I have ever met. he has given alot of his time to help me become a better shooter.
Well I just might make it out to the range need some range time to just enjoy shooting.

Re: Guide Gun

She feeds and ejects just fine no trouble there. Loud very loud some one answer the phone please its ringing again. She has a nice 1 inch group at 75 yards, out to 100 yards she spreads out some 1 3/4 out to 150 2 inch best I could do. 200 yards pretty ify on hits in the black. The load was 13 grains of Trail Boss, I think I can safely move the up some and see what groups I get.

Re: Guide Gun

Nope your not but you already knew that . The carbine does a great job for close range shooting. Which is what the gun was made for. She comes up to the shoulder quick and the sights are right on target as they should be.
One of the best features of a Marlin is the easy a person just drop a shell into the ejection port and the gun feeds and loads in a milla second. There is alot to be said for a gun that can do that. Figure a charging bear coming straight at you. you have fired the max 5 rounds down range the the brun is still coming at you. You know the gun will accept the last ditch round no problem. That maybe just what is needed to put the bear down.
Its loud as all getting out, and with full house loads I am sure she kicks the heck out of you but when your life is on the line who cares.
I would never feel out gunned any where with my guide gun.
