Very nice, Snuffy. I hope you will share pictures when you get it. Is it blue or stainless. I really like those.

snuffy they are great carbines and I have shot my friends alot.I must say they are very loud with those ports.hearing protection is required even when your hunting.I worked up some cast loads for his rifle and it really liked AA5744. congrads on the marlin. pete |

Then you would have a gun for those escaped hippos. |

...there's an allure for the .45-70...and that stainless Marlin's the one I like...but I can't really justify buying one here...the .30-.30'll be sufficient for anything you'll find in Texas...we don't have hippos here...too many Korean restaurants....

Great rifle! I have the 1895 and love it. I shoot Randy Garret's hard cast ammo (wicked stuff!) but recently bought some of the Leverevolution and a scope to match. Haven't got it ste up yet.

Good show Snuffy, a great gun. I never go into the desert without mine. I load 16 gr of Unique pushing Mastercraft 300 gr RNFP's and can shoot them all day long without pain. I guarentee you're gonna like it. |

A friend of mines wife has land in East Texas. We use to hunt that area alot for deer rabbit and Quial. Now there is nothing there not even birds, no sign of any wild life. She swears that Big Foot is there and use to steal chickens from her dad's place. Said it had a really bad smell, we didn't smell anything and we sure didn't see andy tracks. True they have brought black bears back to Texas but we don't need them. Even if it was a big cat there would still be wild life out there, something is scaring them off. Is there a big foot there can't say, but something is scaring them off. |
