Can anyone tell me if there are any other lever guns out there that were chambered in .243 besides the Winchester 88, and the Savage 99...A friend down in S. Carolina is looking for one.

+1 on deputy's suggestion. The BLR is light, accurate and a sweet little rifle in .243.
