I walked into dicks today for some weaver rings and they had a marlin SS 30/30 on sale for 329.00.this thing was short almost like a trapper maybe a tad longer.it caught my eye.good price or not?. pete |

Dose sound good to me too,probably because it was 30/30. Thats about the most common cal.around and easiest to find. but s/s,thats still a real good price i would say. |

...the SS goes for over 400...the short model adds another 65 at least...that's a steal of a deal even if it has feed problems to deal with...there weren't many made...might have been a Davidson's spl. order...any shortie is worth 350-even the blue ones...

went back and it was gone the new marlin bolt action rifles in 270 or 30/06 $299.00 on special this weekend. pete |

Sounds good since when those go on sale in my neighborhood the price is $379.99. Heck, it's getting hard to find used Marlin 30-30s for less than 350.

...found one in a pawn shop here for $359 looks brand new...great price...H has been wanting another one...but it's still there...we gotta get some work or go robbin' trains...watching a training tape...started last night but fell asleep "Tough Guys"...Burt Lancaster and Kirk Douglas...
