Got my Rossi today - Page 2

I have a Burris fast fire on a Ruger Super Redhawk, Works well

I only got to shoot it for the first time yesterday. I met a couple of internet friends for the first time at the farm of one of them just North of Bonham, about 55 miles from here. He has a 100 yard shooting range on his property and the other fellow came down from Kansas. The Rossi was fine to shoot but the sight was so far off the rounds were hitting the ground. I could not get the sight to adjust so I gave up. I need to reread the instructions and then sight it in at shorter range where I can see where it is hitting. I hope I can make it work as it handles very nicely and is nice to shoot. I had the same problem with the Browning BL-22. I was off the paper at that range and had no idea where I was hitting. I need to sight them in at 25 yards before moving out.

We did move up to 15 yards for some handgun shooting but I had several guns I wanted to try so I did not try the rifles.

It was fun to meet two friends and shoot many very interesting handguns. I shot a 6" 686 and an 8 3/8" .41 Magnum S&W off the bench at 100 yards. I had never shot at that range before.

Had the same trouble with mine at first, 50 rounds later it was shooting good, wish I would have taken the adjustment wheel with me.

I plan on putting the Burris fast fire on my Mini 14. Looks to be a really nice, and light, red dot.
