i's suspect the 240 gr is just fine for whitetail.......i as well have heard the complaints about the factory using a "revolver" bullet in the 444 causing failures....looks fine for deer to me......don't know about anything bigger/heavier..........

Looks like it would work on Elk or Moose just fine.

I sent him some of my cast 265 gr (275 gr) ranch dog bullets to test.

I believe Ruger sold them for a short time, they are nice looking.

I have the White Micarta , which 10x stronger then plastic with the Ruger bird on them for $65 shipped . I going to the Black Micarta on all my guns . http://www.midwayusa.com/viewProduct/?p ... ber=574918
