How does that handle? I was thinking of saving up (for years) for a BLR in 30-06 because I like lever guns so much. They look like they might feel awkward in the hands. My little carbine feels so natural, but that ... I am not so sure.

I would love to have one in .308. The finish on the Browning lever actions I've seen was incredible. I have a BL-22 and it amazes me.

...I had one in the mid-70s in .308-for about a week...then it went to pay bills...it was gorgeous...more hunters I know 'round here use .243 than any other caliber...it'll drop 'em with one shot...I've eaten a lotta deer shot by .243...gotcha a good one...

The Brownings have a real slick action, and one of the few lever guns that can fire pointed bullets. Nice guns.

this morning called midway and ordered a rcbs small base die set as these have tight tolerances.2 boxes of bullets 95 gr and 100 gr a trimmer and some bore brushes. next down at wally-world I was goofing off in sporting goods and they had fed 243 100 gr sp ammo for 13.97 a box they also had some rem 9mm fmj for 9.97 a box of 50.I guess the prices are starting to go down now and they had ammo in stock. pete |
