I have to say by looking at it, I'm slightly intrigued and could see purchasing one. Unfortunately it apparently won't be released until sometime in 2011. http://www.thefirearmblog.com/blog/2010 ... anch-hand/ |

I don't see the point in this. If it chambered a more powerful cartridge than a revolver could it might have a place but in the same cartridge it seems slower, less reliable, needs two hands to work and would be ridiculous to holster or draw. It appears it offers no advantage over a Colt. What am I missing?

It is from Wanted Dead or Alive, an old Steve McQueen show that was on TV years ago, called a Mare's Leg. Of course, it is just the right size for a midget! We have had two of these in the shop, but they where made by Chiappa, in Italy. Very expensive too. The Rossi is much cheaper.

I remember the program. Once I learned it chambered pistol ammo I never saw the purpose except as a gimmick for the show. Are people just buying these to play Josh Randell? |

I have no real use for one either, but I still think it'd be fun. Remember 'Zombieland'. Molon Labe Kim |

JW, if you did not go too far about once a week we would think that somebody kidnapped you and took over your computer.

...even a shotgun cut that way would be semi-useless...never heard of one other than on Josh Randall...the replicas are after that show...truth be, he was so damn short his rifle kept draggin' the ground and they had to think of somethin' fast...

I have been trying to have an open mind, but the more I look at it the less I would want it. I don't meant that I would refuse it if I won it in a raffle. but there are many many things I would spend my hard earned cash on first. It seems like it would be uncomfortable to shoot with its short stock. My favorite rifle in the whole world is my lever action carbine. Short and handy without being "too" short. Having said that, I hope that they sell well. More guns in the hands of the people, the better. |
