Went to visit a buddy yesterday. After chewing the fat for a while I shot about 40 rounds out of my SP101. Could not do more because it was getting too dark. Good news - My new light loads with bullseye and DEWC did just what I wanted them too. Easy on the hands and accurate, with no crud ring since they are out of a 357 case. Bad news - My new set of Badger boot grips (the ones that were sent as replacement for the chipped ones) got chipped when I went to put them back on after cleaning. I love the way these things look, but my confidence in them is gone. I am going to try the stock grips next time I go out. |

Can't compare to anything else with this gun yet. I have only take the gun out twice, and had badgers on both times. The first trip, with my very stout handloads gave me a sore hand after about 60 rounds. I am not very recoil sensitive, and can shoot those same loads all day in my GP100. This trip, I shot about 40 of my new, light handload and about 20 factory loads. The recoil was very manageable. |

I prefer the Hogue grips on all my DA revolvers. Fit my hands perfectly.

I admit, I primarily got caught up in how good the badgers looked. They are comfy enough too. If the stock grips feel right while shooting that will be good. They are actually more compact than the boot grips.

with me...the wider the grip the more comfortable on recoil... pachmyer "professionals" and "grippers" seem to hurt with mags. now if you find an old set of them "Bill jordan" plastic pachmyers, they control recoil.....providing your hand is the size of andre the giant.... |

...and it only took you FOUR MONTHS to come up with that zinger...WOW...noone can accuse YOU of talking before you think!!! :P :P :P :P ...Cruelshoes, maybe try Packy Compac grips...they fit the Js and Ks in round butt better'n any I've found...I have two pair for Speed-Six that feel great even empty...and the SP is between those and a J...I don't like the Compac Pro...shorter model...my hands need that extra bit... |

My GP100 wears compact Pachys, they are nice. I am actually trying to get some Trauch grips for the SP. I will let you know how I like them. Snuffy, I still have great confidence in the gun itself, I just don't want to get used to grips that I cannot trust to last. I would rather practice with something that I am going to be able to keep for a while.

...I send mine to BH to customize...have to wash the hot pepper juice off'n 'em before insertion, though(ne thought I wouldn't notice)...I've used Uncle Mike's (Butler Creek) flat checkered grips for the P90 and P89...they're thin and really give a better grab...I put Hogues on a .44 and the finger grooves actually fit...my son put a slip-on Hogue on his P97...all my grips are rubber but the HS .22...don't think they make one in that size...
